||A superb ground cover, Rosemary Irene has medium green leaves and is great for hot, dry locations. Its habit is low and mounding. It spreads vigorously and would look good sprawling over walls and containers. In the summer, deep blue-violet colored flowers bloom en mass. It is very drought and critter resistant. Irene likes lots of sun and is long-lived in any well-drained garden soil. This rosemary cooks particularly well with chicken and adds a nice flavor to many vegetarian dishes.
